Kosher breakfast: tasty and healthy

Delicious and healthy breakfast is a pledge of good mood and energy for the whole day. The MENORAH GRAND PALACE offers you a tasty and kosher breakfast. Here you will not find any standard foods, such as frankfurters, sandwiches with cheese and sausage. But rest assured, we have something to surprise you.

Observing the rules of kashrut, using organic and fresh products, what we have prepared for you is not only delicious, but also makes a healthy breakfast. Salmon, scrambled eggs, traditional Forshmak, pudding, yogurt, fresh vegetables, fruits, juices, and desserts: this is only a small fraction of the dishes that will give strength to a good start of your day.

*Kashrut is a food system that has been around for more than 3,000 years and according to the requirements of which the Menorah Grand Palace Restaurant Complex operates, is becoming more popular today. Such interest comes not only from religion, but is associated with the development of gastronomic culture in general and with the understanding that kosher is a sign of the quality of food, but not the type of cuisine. People, not necessarily Jews, come to the opinion that this is a completely different level of product quality, and this is useful because the correct storage, preparation and combination of products are strictly observed in kashrut.

The production of kosher products and the selection of food ingredients are given increased attention, so they are always extra-quality. Here, mistakes linked to the human factor, inattention, etc. are excluded. While the mass of producers today are chasing profit, ignoring the quality, the rules of kashrut simply exclude any derogation. The rules do not change, they are not adjusted to the situation and do not bend under the requirements of the market and the economy.

According to kashrut, it is forbidden to combine meat and dairy products, eat pork, inhabitants of water depths, some types of fish and birds. Vegetables, fruits and mushrooms should be freshest — even slightly spoiled or with a wormhole, they are already considered non-kosher. Kosher products have a quality certificate and are thoroughly checked by specially trained people — “mashgiyahs”. By the way, kosher dishes can come from the kitchens of different countries.

Shabbat at the MENORAH HOTEL

The MENORAH HOTEL is the first kosher hotel in Dnipro, working as a Shabbat observing property. In Judaism, Shabbat is the seventh day of the week, which is a holiday. Tradition forbids involvement in the “mundane” activities, such as: ignition and extinguishing of fire; turning on or off any electrical appliances; cooking on the fire; laundry (hand or machine), ironing; riding in the car; wedding ceremonies and so on.

That is why, observing all the traditions of the Shabbat, the MENORAH HOTEL offers its guests on Saturday a special Shabbat breakfast, which includes slightly salted salmon, fruits and vegetables, cheeses, desserts, variety of fish dishes, juices, coffee, and tea. The peculiarity of such a breakfast is that it is dominated by dishes made of dairy products and most of the dishes are served cold. But rest assured, the proposed MENORAH GRAND PALACE’s breakfast will surprise you with its taste and give strength to a good start of your day.
